Tesco
This Tesco ATF workshop was in need of a new resin floor surface to and lane markings to bring them in line with current DVSA requirements in key areas including the inspection pit and walkways.
In addition, the refurbishment was part of a plan to improve overall safety at the facility.
Resin flooring refurbishment – before
The existing resin floor at this site was in need of refurbishment, as the existing paintwork on the floor was flaking and worn, and in some areas the were marked oil stains.
The areas around the inspection pit required resurfacing and new lane markings to ensure there was compliance DVSA requirements, and to ensure the surface would meet with HSE slip test recommendations to help improve safety at the site.
Epoxy resin flooring – application of the top coat
The final part of the process is to apply the resin flooring top coat. At this stage, we apply the various colours and demarcation lines for walkways and inspection pits.
In addition we provide advice on floor maintenance, including which solutions to use and how best to keep the floor in top condition.
We applied an anti-slip coating to help reduce the risk of slips and trips, and to contribute to the improvement of safety at this site. As with many of these projects, improving overall safety at the site is a concern from the outset.
