Lamborghini
This project completed by Donnelly Flooring, was to refurbish the workshop floor for a prestigious Lamborghini dealership. We added a new resin flooring surface, creating a cleaner working environment.
We needed to repair numerous floor cracks, and create new demarcation lines to separate the various hoists and working bays.
Resin flooring refurbishment – before
The existing concrete floor at this site was in need of refurbishment, as the existing paintwork on the floor was worn and faded, and in a number of areas there were cracks that needed repairing.
Preparation work for epoxy resin flooring
In order to prepare the surface, we use a “Diamond Grinding” process to remove any unwanted material and key the concrete surface ready for the next stage. As with all our projects, good preparation is an essential part of the refurbishment process.
Epoxy resin flooring – application of the top coat
Following the application of our second stage primer layer and rekeying of the surface, the final part of the process is to apply the resin flooring top coat. At this stage, we apply the various colours and demarcation lines for walkways and inspection pits.
In addition we provide advice on floor maintenance, including which solutions to use and how best to keep the floor in top condition.
To help with an improvement of safety, we also applied an anti-slip coating to help reduce the risk of slips and trips, which in turn helps to reduce the risk of accidents for the staff who work at the site.
The end result is a new epoxy resin floor that is clean and well marked, and overall presents a cleaner and more professional looking environment.
